Mini Labradoodles

Mini Labradoodles are the perfect dog choice for a potential owner who doesn't have a lot of space in their home. These beautiful, even-tempered dogs will grow to between 12-16 inches and weigh somewhere between 15-23 pounds, with males generally bigger than females.

At Stargazer Labradoodles, we have bred these awesome dogs for years in our California home. That's right, all of our dogs are part of our family. They live with us, eat with us, vacation with us, you name it. Your Mini Labradoodle puppy also will be raised among both of his/her parents, something not a lot of breeders can say. We believe having both the mom and dad on site helps create a happy, healthy puppy. In addition, it nearly ensures that the puppy grows up with the same characteristics as the parents. Yes, a family environment makes a difference for dogs, too!

So why choose a Mini Labradoodle? They are the smallest of the breed, and while every dog needs some exercise, these Minis are perfectly happy living in an apartment or condominium, etc. They are great with children (their first eight weeks being raised here will be around kids), very intelligent and sociable but not hyper. We got our first Labradoodle because our son has asthma, and they are very hypo-allergenic. All Labradoodles are non-aggressive and don't make a lot of noise, which are both important if you are living in a large housing complex. But if you take them to a park or lake, they love to swim! All of our dogs are multi-generational, which means you will be getting a pure Australian Mini Labradoodle.

What is a Labradoodle, you might be asking? To make a long story short, they were bred in the late 1980s in Australia to first accommodate a blind person who required a seeing-eye dog but whose husband was allergic to dogs. Because Labs have long made great seeing-eye dogs and have a great temperament and are very friendly, they were mixed with a Poodle, which has a non-shedding hypo-allergenic coat and is very trainable. The Labradoodle was born, and it has became very popular among allergy sufferers.

The dogs come in three types of coat: fleece (soft, wavy), wool (a tighter curl, more like a Poodle) and basic hair (a lot like a Labrador's coat). Their colors are many, such as apricot, chocolate, parchment, cream, gold, red, black and others.

So does a Mini Labradoodle interest you? We do require a $500 non-refundable deposit to reserve a puppy, and we generally have a waiting list. We believe all of our puppies have their own personality, so we will work with you to decide which might best fit your family. All puppies have a two-year health guarantee, will be up-to-date on their vaccinations and be de-sexed prior to delivery.

We fell in love with our first Labradoodle and wanted others to be able to share in what is a great pet, so we decided to breed them. This is a labor of love, indeed, and we hope you decide to add a Mini Labradoodle to your family today. The cost is $2,500, but this includes delivery anywhere in the United States or Canada. We will hand-deliver the puppy if at all possible but will use a reputable, safe puppy delivery service if that proves impractical. When the puppies turn eight weeks old, then they are ready to go to their new home.
